Penguin with Candy Felt Ornament

Handcrafted by Katharina Davitt in Oregon.
These are the most work involved ornaments.  Each one takes over 45 minutes to make.  The face and belly are white felt layers that get added during the machine embroidery work and have to be hand cut and stitched into place.  The feet and various other elements also have to be embroidered in a separate process.  Every ornament and the feet get filled with polyfiber and gets sewn shut.  Elements like feed, hats, sled, cane etc have to be glued on to complete the process.  Ornaments are approximately 5 inches tall.
